The entrance towards the Stadsfeestzaal. Beer journalist Bob
Magerman ready to enter.
|

Immediately after entering, we already spotted some commercials
hanging on the wall inside the entrance hall. This is the beautiful
commercial for the next "Bierjutterij" from local Zythos
branch DOB.
|

The income hall. Cash register glasses. 3 Euro per glass and
refunded when bringing back.
|

Cash register tokens. 1 Euro per token. Zythos members got 2 free
tokens.
|

A tombola was organised.

The beershop.

When buying the glass one got the blue ZBF information booklet.
|

In the middle of the entrance hall there was the Zythos member
administration stand. in the middle you can clearly see Casimir
Elsen, editor in chief of the Zythos magazine "De Zytholoog".
|

The ZBF Fellow workers could be recognized by their blue ZBF-shirt
carrying the red colored ZBF-emblem.
On the right we see Luc Smekens who is member of the Beerfestival
team. Needless to say they did a marvelous job !
|

We obtained our tokens and glasses. So it was time to enter the
actual beerfestival room.
Already full packed this Saturday around 15pm

The Dolle Brouwers
stand. Els (wife of masterbrewer Kris Herteleer) posing. The beer
in front is the new lacto-acid Oerbier.
|

Great De Dolle commercials. It's Eastern time so the yellow colors
were dominant. Nice yellow De Dolle Brouwers jacket! Some "eastern
hares" in front. The lacto-acid Oerbier in front again.
|

Raising my digicam did include the nice Oerbier lamp. The small
Oerbier man is in fact a presentation of a yeast cell !
|

"How to make money on beer"
A great humouristic pamphlet (art work) made by Kris Herteleer.
Clicking the image gives a high-resolution image. You will see
that InBev is the main focus :-)
|

A nice group picture at the Dolle Brouwers stand.
|

The new Oerbier. 9vol% strong and mixed with 25% sour Oerbier.

The copper Regenboog tap installation. The bottles Pierewietje
and Snuffel beer. Snuffel beer is made for youth hostel "De
Snuffel", located in the centre of Bruges. It's their
house beer.
Commercials hanging on the wall featuring Wostyntje and Smisje
Kerst. Art design (Salty Dog) made by Bill
Coleman.
|

Nice tap list. Wostyntje (the mustard beer), Smisje Dubbel and
Smisje Kerst.
|

Smisje Kerst for me please ! Note that the recipe of Smisje Kerst
is American influenced. In fact the recipe comes from Bill Coleman,
yes the art designer of the Smisje labels.
|

Kris Herteleer (masterbrewer De Dolle Brouwers) and Johan Brandt
(masterbrewer De Regenboog).
|

A 'primeur'. Smisje Cuvée 2005 10vol%. Christine, wife

hops, water and yeast only. 4 kinds of hops are used including
one hop straight from the US!

Another rare beer from De Regenboog. Pierewietje.
An original brew specially made for Bruges' puppet theater "Pierewiet".

The bry. Caracole labels are without any doubt one of the most
beautiful to admire in the whole Belgian beer scene.

The back of the ZBF 2005 T-shirt.
|

Foreign beers. Alot has been done to promote the ZBF on a worldwide
scale. The result is a vast amount of foreign beerlovers to attend
this years' ZBF. The nice thing about this is the importing of
foreign quality beers. This picture shows some examples of American
beers.
|

The ZBF brochure.
2 ZBF taste glasses. The glasses with red emblem are from last
years first edition.
|

Note that the booklet has a blue color. Blue is the color of
the ZBF 2005. Therefore the 2005 ZBF taste glasses also carry
a blue emblem.
